Hey everyone
Be sure to get outside today if it is nice and get out for a walk or bike ride. Do something today to help the environment!
- The 2nd annual Northside College Prep Green Scene was a resounding success! The school had a steady flood of people of all ages checking out the goods from over 30 vendors! I personally picked a few free light bulbs, checked out the soon to be solar thermal panels on the school's roof, recycled some books, and gathered all kinds of info that I will be writing about in the future.
- The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum has agreed to participate in my donation program with A Fresh Squeeze! Please check it out (blog entry below) and sign up so together we can make our environment a better place to live and donate to The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum!

movie fest and more
Hey everyone
- Northeastern Illinois University is having a "Green Film Festival" from now through Earth Day (April 21.)
- In a story from ENN, Nordstrom has started the process to commit to earth friendly bagging. Congratulations to them.
- Don't forget that next Saturday, March 29, from 8-9 PM is Earth Hour.
- A Fresh Squeeze has recent articles on environmentally friendly yoga and fitness studios and the positives to adding more raw foods to your diet.

Earth Box
Hey
One of the vendors at Green Scene will be Earth Box.
The Univeristy of Illinois and the Chicago School for Agricultural Science support and work with EarthBoxes as part of The Growing Connection. (See below) The Chicago Department of Parks and Recreaton also ordered EarthBoxes.
They have some great info on these boxes. I apologize but the info that was emailed to me is giving me problems copying and pasting over. So I will leave the contact info below.
