Chicago's leap forward

Hey

As everyone knows, Chicago has always tried to become the premier spot for urban environmentalism and it has succeeded in many ventures like the parks program and the like. One of the glaring missteps of the program has been its inability to provide a workable recycling program together (see previous blog) for its residents.

But I am here to tell you things are changing. The city has listened to us and has put the money and man power to grow the local recycling program! Please read the full story below but I am really happy about the city adding up to 90,000 more blue carts to the program. That more than doubles the recycling capacity of this program. Congratulations to local environmentalists and Chicago's Department of Environment! I would recommend sending out an email to the city's DOE thanking them and giving continued support for their efforts!
